3/21/2010 Vietnam To Enter Pony Baseball 2010 Asia Pacific Zone Tournament In Taiwan Pony Baseball Co-Administrator for Vietnam Nguyen Ngoc Thuy announced that Vietnam will enter a team in the Bronco Division (U-12) of the Asia Pacific Zone Tournament to be held in Taipei, Taiwan from 18 - 23 July 2010. Teams from Japan, Philippines, Taiwan, Korea, China, Russia, Singapore, and Indonesia are entered in the tournament. The Asia Pacific Zone Tournament champion will travel to the United States to compete in the 2010 Bronco Division World Series to be held in Monterey, California from 5 - 12 August 2010, and will compete against regional champions from the United States, the Carribean, and Mexico. In 2009, Taiwan won the Asia Pacific Zone Pony Baseball title by defeating Japan 2-1 in extra innings. Simi Valley of California won the Bronco World Series in 2009.
